LOST AND FOUND:  Students, if you have anything that may have ended up in the Lost and Found, please be sure to get it by the end of the day on Tuesday. You can find a security guard at any time and look through the Lost and Found. Unclaimed items will be donated after Thanksgiving.

The training is for teens to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health challenges in their peers and friends and connect them to a trusted adult. The training is December 9, 10 and 11 and you must attend all three sessions to be certified. Only 30 spots available. To register, scan the QR code on the flyers around school.

SPEECH TEAM:  The Speech Team will be competing tomorrow at the Turkey Tourney hosted by Schaumburg High School. Students will compete in a variety of event categories, including Poetry, Original Oratory and Dramatic Interpretation - to name a few. Best of Luck to the Speech Team and we hope you have a great tournament.

CONGRATULATIONS:  This weekend, the Speech Team kicked off its tournament season with Speechapalooza at Prospect High School. Students competed with over 20 high schools in the Chicagoland area for a chance to win awards. Congratulations to Angelica Soberanis who placed 5th in Dramatic Interpretation and Hadia Miriam who placed 6th in Original Oratory. Congratulations to the Speech Team on a job well done. We wish you continued success throughout the season.

Most students have never been a part of a theatre production prior to Maine West so you're in good company. The clinic is where we teach you everything you need to be successful between acting, singing and moving. If you're interested but can't make it, see Mr. Harmon or Ms. Herrera and we can get you everything you need.

Come explore exciting, hands-on activities and learn about different science career paths, from engineering to medicine tomorrow here at Maine West from 10 to 2 for Science Day. WEST'S GOT TALENT:  Tickets are now on sale for one of the most anticipated events of the year, West's Got Talent. Come experience the amazing array of talents at Maine West, including Mariachi, live bands, cultural dances, vocal acts and our very own Orchestra Pit. Performances are Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14 from 7 to 9. Tickets are $7 for students and $12 for adults and may be purchased online or at the door. What an amazing turn out for the 3rd Annual Library Costume Contest. Our winners with the highest number of likes at 3:30 on Halloween is student winner Jacob Barcenas and our staff winners are Ms. Abbate and Mr. Lils. Jacob, Ms. Abbate and Mr. Lils please stop by the library to get your prizes. Thank you to everyone who came to the library and participated in our costume contest.

WRESTLING:  Wrestling is having their first meeting of the season after school today in E107. Please come with any questions you might have and bring a friend.

STUDENT VOICE:  The next Student Voice Council meeting is Wednesday morning at 7:00 in D105. We will be planning our Season of Service and finding ways to give back to Maine West and the Des Plaines community. Come for breakfast and 25 spirit points.

BADMINTON:  We will have a Badminton Open Gym Friday Morning from 6:30-8:00 in Spec Gym. Equipment will be provided. Gym shoes are required. Please enter the building through the Field House door 34c between 6:20-6:45.

SOLES FOR SOULS FUNDRAISER:  Key Club is collecting new and gently used shoes/boots for those in need. Please drop your donations in the green gurney in the front rotunda. Our collection will end on November 21.

YEARBOOK:  If you purchased last year’s yearbook, you can pick up your spring supplement in the main office. The supplement includes all the best moments from the end of the year, spring sports, fine arts performances, and more!
