CONGRATULATIONS: This weekend, the Speech Team kicked off its tournament season with Speechapalooza at Prospect High School. Students competed with over 20 high schools in the Chicagoland area for a chance to win awards. Congratulations to Angelica Soberanis who placed 5th in Dramatic Interpretation and Hadia Miriam who placed 6th in Original Oratory. Congratulations to the Speech Team on a job well done. We wish you continued success throughout the season.
KEY CLUB: The deadline for key club member dues is tomorrow, Wednesday, November 19. Please pay either online or in person in the Maine West Bookstore.
HOSA: HOSA will have an all member meeting Wednesday at 3:15 in room A201. Attendance is mandatory for members.
MU ALPHA THETA: Mu Alpha Theta members will have a meeting Thursday at 3:00 in B209.
PI SIGMA PI: Pi Sigma Pi Current Events Club is hosting its next discussion Thursday at 3:00 in C204. The topic will be the effects of the current administration's DEI changes on perceptions of American history and identity.
BASIC CAR MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP: Women's Empowerment Club and Skills USA are collaborating to host a basic car maintenance workshop for female and nonbinary identifying students. The "Learn How To Car" workshop will be held after school Thursday from 3-4:00 in room D121. Interested students should sign up by scanning the QR code on the flyers around the school or reach out to Ms. Hart or Ms. Nelson.
NATIONAL ENGLISH HONOR SOCIETY: The next National English Honor Society meeting is Friday at 7:40 in the back of the LRC. See all of our new and current members there.
