AEROSPACE CLUB: Are you interested in learning more about flight, space and how we are exploring the stars? Come to B107 today afters chool for the initial meeting of Aerospace Club.

BOYS GOLF:  If you are interested in Boys Golf, please come to an informational meeting Thursday after school in G102. Any questions, see Mrs. Voigt or Mr. Ellefson.

GIRLS BASKETBALL:  Girls Basketball will have an open gym Thursday in the field house from 3:40-5:00pm. All those planning on trying out for girls basketball next season are welcome.

CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS:  Cheerleading Tryouts are May 1st- 3rd at 5pm in the field house. We are looking to begin the journey of another historic season and we want you to be apart. PI SIGMA PI:  Pi Sigma Pi will host its End of the Year Picnic soon. We welcome new members to sign up and pay $5.00 in the Bookstore by Friday, May 10th. Current members sign up on Google Classroom. Current seniors must pay $3.00 in the bookstore for honor cords by Tuesday, May 7th.

SENIOR PROM:  Senior Prom tickets are on sale in the bookstore for $65. Ticket sales end May 10th. No tickets will be sold at the door. Questions? Check your email or reach out to Mrs. Van Jacobs.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS:  Have you ever considered what it must feel like to move to a new city and to change schools? Have you ever wanted to help other students? We are looking for volunteers to become Student Ambassadors.  Student Ambassadors help transfer students during their first critical days at Maine West.  The Student Ambassador Club also organizes other fun activities throughout the year to help transfer students meet other students and get involved at school.  Check your email for the application.  Applications are due by 3:30 on Friday.  For questions, please contact Ms. Abraham or Ms. Giricz.

Congratulations to Science Olympiad Individual State Medalists.
Dylan Joseph and Aditya Thomas earned 4th place in Flight,
Veronica Gut and Sophia Vincent earned 3rd place in Anatomy and Physiology and Sophia Layous and Emily Wojnicki earned 2nd place in Air Trajectory.

NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY:    National Art Honor Society is hosting a bake sale in the lower commons today during all lunch periods. Come purchase a sweet treat for $2 to $5!

BADMINTON WARRIOR CHALLENGE:  Do you think you have what it takes to take on one of our highly trained, skilled badminton players in a singles match or doubles tonight at 3:30. $5 for singles - $10 for doubles - if you win - you will get back $3 for singles and $6 for doubles.  Come out and support your badminton squad tonight and have some fun.

PSYCHOLOGY CLUB:  Psychology Club is meeting after school today in Room C214 to talk about SLEEP - why our brains need it, and what happens when we don't get enough of it! Everyone is welcome. See Ms. Rettig if you have any questions.

Congratulations to the Girls Water Polo team for defeating Maine East 16 to 8, moving to 11 and 0 on the season. They take on Conant at Conant on Thursday at 5:15.

IMPROV NIGHT:  Don't miss Maine West’s final Improv Night of the season. Come see the amazing, unscripted and hilarious talents of our very own Improv Warriors. The event is tonight at 6:00 in R207 (the Choir Rm.). Admission is only $3 for students, $5 for adults and concessions are $2 each. All proceeds benefit the Drama Club.

THRIFT CLUB:  The Maine West Thrift Club is accepting clothing donations for a fundraiser benefiting Maine West's Family and Student Services.  Please consider donating clothing.  There are large green bins at the front entrance and at the bus concourse.  A fundraising sale will take place Thursday and Friday in E105 during lunch periods.  For more information, please see Mr. Greenberg in the Library.
