DRAMA CLUB:  Drama Club meeting is meeting after school today in A206. We will chat about important information regarding our upcoming trip to Theatrefest - plus - there will be games and candy.

PSYCHOLOGY CLUB:  Psychology Club is meeting after school today in C214. Everyone is welcome. If you're interested and curious, come check us out. We will be doing a psychological experiment this week and you can be a part of it. See Ms. Rettig in C214 if you have any questions.

SPEECH TEAM BAKE SALE:  Speech Team will be having a "crafty bake sale" TODAY during lunch in the lower commons. Delicious treats and snacks will be up for sale, along with other fun, non-food knick knacks for the holiday season. Come check it out!

MAINE WEST UNPLUGGED:  Maine West Unplugged will meet after school today in the library. If you are an acoustic musician that wants to meet some other like-minded strummers, pickers, pluckers and bow-ers, come join us.

BAKE SALE: The National English Honor Society will be hosting a holiday bake sale today during 5th period lunches. All cookies, brownies, cakes and other baked goods will be sold for $2.00.  CASH ONLY. All proceeds will go to a good cause.

SPEECH TEAM:  The Speech Team will be performing in their first varsity tournament tomorrow at Palatine High School. Students will be competing in Radio, Prose, Original Oratory and Informative Speaking for a chance to win awards and name recognition for Maine West. Congratulations to the Speech Team on all your hard work and good luck with your tournament tomorrow.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY:  National Honor Society will meet in the auditorium Monday morning at 7:45am. We will begin planning for the upcoming induction ceremony. Attendance is required.

IMPROV NIGHT:  Don't miss Maine West’s first Improv Night of the season. Come see the amazing, unscripted and hilarious talents of our very own Improv Warriors tonight in the choir room at 6 pm. Admission is $3 for students, $5 for adults and concessions are $2 each. All proceeds benefit the Drama Club.

We celebrate World Languages this week.

SPEECH TEAM:  The Speech Team competed in the UltiMUTT Dog Show at Hersey High School this Saturday. Students performed well in a highly competitive tournament. This Saturday they will be competing in their first varsity tournament, Pirate's Booty at Palatine High School. For more info on what the Speech Team is about, contact Ms. Alverio or come to their meeting after school today in Room C205.
