SENIORS:  Senior portraits are everyday this week from 11–5 in E107. Walk-ins are welcome, stop by during lunch, a free period, or after school.

WARRIOR CON:  Warrior Comic Con is Saturday from 10-5. Warrior-con features 40 national and Chicagoland’s best artists and illustrators, as well as over 30 vendors selling all kinds of fun pop culture merchandise, comics, toys, collectibles and more. Fun for all ages. Concessions will be sold. Costume Contest at 1:00, Trivia at 2:00 and Raffles at 3:00. Admission is $5 per person.

MU ALPHA THETA:  Mu Alpha Theta members will meet today at 3:00 in B209.

PI SIGMA PI: Pi Sigma Pi Current Events Club is meeting today at 3:00 in C204. The topic will be the effects of the current administration's DEI changes on perceptions of American history and identity.

BASIC CAR MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP:  Women's Empowerment Club and Skills USA are collaborating to host a basic car maintenance workshop for female and nonbinary identifying students. The "Learn How To Car" workshop will be held after school today in room D121. Interested students should sign up by scanning the QR code on the flyers around the school or reach out to Ms. Hart or Ms. Nelson.

NATIONAL ENGLISH HONOR SOCIETY:  The National English Honor Society is meeting Friday morning at 7:40 in the back of the LRC. See all of our new and current members there.

BOYS SWIM AND DIVE:  Boys Swim and Dive starts Monday, November 24th after school. No experience required. Please register on Maine West Snap Manage with an updated sport physical. Talk to Coach Trella for more details.

SOFTBALL:  Attention Softball Players. Join us Monday from 3:30 - 5:30 in the Field House for Softball Open Gym. All those interested in softball are welcome and you can come and go as you please. Contact Coach Addante or Coach Dvorak with any questions.

NEWS FROM THE SBHC:  The School Based Health Center is sponsoring a training event along with Gabriel's Light known as teen Mental Health First aid. The training is for teens to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health challenges in their peers and friends and connect them to a trusted adult. The training is December 9, 10 and 11 and you must attend all three sessions to be certified. Only 30 spots available. To register, scan the QR code on the flyers around school.

PI SIGMA PI:  Pi Sigma Pi members, do you know a lot of trivia? Do you like free pizza? If the answer is "YES" then come to the 4th Annual Pi Sigma Pi vs. Scholastic Bowl Showdown after school on Wednesday, December 3rd. Sign up on Google Classroom ASAP so we know how much pizza to order! See Ms. Lanham or Ms. Murray with questions.

WALK IN WINTER WONDERLAND: Join us on Wednesday, December 10th for a Walk in Winter Wonderland to support the Des Plaines Self Help Pantry. For just ten dollars, you will get a cool Maine West beanie and a raffle entry. The raffle starts at 3:00 and the walk begins at 3:30 followed by free hot chocolate
