JUNIORS: Hey Juniors! The ACT is coming Thursday, April 16. Get some last-minute tips, familiarize yourself with the test and practice to increase your score. Free ACT Prep is available all day in the LRC for English and Reading and after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Warriors After Hours for Math. Boost your scores with free prep.
BLOOD DRIVE: Please join us for the Spring Blood Drive on Thursday in Spec Gym Foyer from 8:30 to 2:15. You can schedule an appointment using the QR code or the website as seen on posters in the hallways. Students may also register in the lower commons from 10:45 to 1:30 on Tuesday or Wednesday. Students who are 17 or 18 years of age can give and students who are 16 will need consent from a parent or guardian. Students may only donate during lunch, PE or a free period and each donor will receive 25 spirit points.
DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT: The National Honor Society is hosting a dodgeball tournament on Friday. Teams of 6 to 8 players will compete for dodgeball dominance in the field house, starting at 6:30. Today is the last day to pay $40 per team in the bookstore to see if you and your friends have what it takes. Proceeds support our Maine West food pantry.
EUROPE TRIP: Ms. Bracker, along with EF Tours, is leading a trip to Switzerland, Italy, France and Spain in the Summer of 2027. We’re holding an informational meeting on Tuesday, April 14th for anyone interested in joining the crew. LUNCH AND LEARN: Each Wednesday from April 8 through May 6 in H102 during all lunch periods, SFS will host Lunch and Learns. Snacks provided. During each session, there will be a mini lesson and strategies taught. Our first one is Wednesday on Navigating Academic Stress.
GI HEALTH INITIATIVE: Are you interested in making a difference for kids in need supporting Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago and expanding your knowledge of digestive wellness? Join the GI Health Initiative. Our first meeting will be Monday, April 13 from 3:00 till 3:30. We will meet in A207 to talk about our goals and fundraising opportunities. PAWS FOR A CAUSE: Do you love animals and want to make a difference? Paws for a Cause is a new club where students can learn how to help animals in need and make a real impact. All students who care about animals are welcome and no experience is needed. Join us to help make our community a better place for animals. Our first meeting will be after school Tuesday, April 21.
