STUDENTS:  College Night is coming to the West Side this year! Join us and representatives from 180+ schools for College Night at Maine West on Thursday, September 12 from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. This event is great for all grade levels to attend so that you can begin to learn more about different colleges. Financial aid presentations will be taking place at 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. in both English and Spanish. Bring your families and your friends!

STUDENTS: If you've been identified as a possible Science National Honor Society student, don't forget to attend the meeting today in B107 after school.

BLOOD DRIVE:  The first blood drive of the school year is Friday from 10-2:30 in B-wing gym.

ADVENTURE CLUB:  The Adventure Club will have an informational meeting after school on Friday in B112 at 3:30pm. All students are welcome. If you have questions, ask Mr. Panzilius (the man in the lab coat).

MOVIE CLUB:  Movie Club will meet after school Friday in the little theater. We will be watching the Disney live action movie "Aladdin". The magic comes to life!

BOARD GAME CLUB:  Board Game Club will meet today after school in B109.

SPANISH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY:  There is a meeting for all Spanish National Honor Society Members in A207 today after school and Thursday morning at 8 am. Please be sure to attend one of the two meetings to discuss upcoming events.

PI SIGMA PI:  Pi Sigma Pi will meet Friday, September 13 from 7:45-8:15 am in C201 to share information for the new year. If you can't make it, see Mr. McClure or Ms. Hendrickson for more information.

STUDENT COUNCIL:  Student Council will host their first dinner meeting Wednesday, September 11th at 6:30 pm in E 108. Come help plan our Homecoming dress up, assembly and events for the week.  All are welcome!

BOYS VOLLEYBALL:  If you are interested in trying out for boys volleyball in the spring, there will be a meeting on Thursday, September 12 at 7:15 am in G-102. If you have any questions or can't make the meeting, please contact Coach O'Brill.

BOYS BASKETBALL:  Boys basketball players, please take a look at the updates to our open gym and fitness center workouts on the google calendar and on our website.

JUNIORS: This is a reminder that if you want to take the National PSAT/NMSQT you must pay $17 in the bookstore by this Friday. This test is open to all juniors. However, the National PSAT/NMSQT is a National Merit qualifier so juniors with high academic achievement are highly encouraged to take the test.
