STUDENTS:  Students, please check your email to see if you've received a message from Mr. Sumida. This message will let you know if you meet the GPA requirements to join Science National Honor Society. If you received the message and you are interested in being inducted into the society, please attend the meeting tomorrow in B107 at 3:25 pm.

BLOOD DRIVE:  The first blood drive of the school year is Friday from 10-2:30 in B-wing gym.

ANIME CLUB:  Anime Club will have their first meeting today after school in room D105. Come one, come all and bring a friend.

FASHION & COSMETOLOGY CLUB:  Fashion & Cosmetology Club will have their first meeting today after school in C108. Come learn about the fun makeup tutorials and DIY fashion projects we will be doing this year!

MOVIE CLUB:  Movie Club will meet Friday, September 13 in the little theater after school. We will be watching the Disney live action movie "Aladdin". The magic comes to life!

PI SIGMA PI:  Pi Sigma Pi will meet Friday, September 13 from 7:45-8:15 am in C201 to share information for the new year. If you can't make it, see Mr. McClure or Ms. Hendrickson for more information.

STUDENT COUNCIL:  Student Council will host their first dinner meeting Wednesday, September 11th at 6:30 pm in E 108. Come help plan our Homecoming dress up, assembly and events for the week.  All are welcome!

BOYS VOLLEYBALL:  If you are interested in trying out for boys volleyball in the spring, there will be a meeting on Thursday, September 12 at 7:15 am in G-102. If you have any questions or can't make the meeting, please contact Coach O'Brill.

BOYS BASKETBALL:  Boys basketball players, please take a look at the updates to our open gym and fitness center workouts on the google calendar and on our website.

JUNIORS: The National PSAT/NMSQT test taking place Saturday, October 19th at 8:00 am is at Maine East High School (Maine West is not a site). The PSAT/NMSQT is a National Merit qualifier and should not be taken as a practice test for the SAT in the spring. However, it should be taken by any junior who wants to be considered for this recognition. The deadline to register is Friday, September 13th. The cost of the test is $17 paid at the Maine West Bookstore.  More information about arrival time, what to bring to the test, etc. will be sent to those students who register by September 13th.
