Homecoming Week is officially next week, and our theme this year is Maine West Mix Tape. Here is your lineup for spirit dress-up days:
Monday: Party in the USA – Show your spirit and wear red, white, and blue.
Tuesday: Neon Moon – Brighten up the halls and dress in your best neon.
Wednesday: Hocochella – Rep your favorite band, artist, or music genre.
Thursday: Island in the Sun – Kick back in your best beach and tropical wear.
Friday: Warriorpalooza – Deck out in blue and gold for our homecoming assembly and the big football game.

DECA: Calling all new and returning DECA members. DECA will hold its kickoff meeting tomorrow morning at 7:45 in D105. Come learn what DECA is all about and see what’s planned for this year.
HOMECOMING DANCE: Get ready to turn up the volume. This year's Homecoming Dance theme is Maine West Mixtape, taking place on Saturday, September 19th at 7:00 in Spec Gym and Fieldhouse. Tickets are $30 each. Students are required to present their ID when purchasing tickets in the bookstore and at the door for entry to the Homecoming dance. Students that would like to purchase a ticket for a student that doesn't attend Maine West will receive a link to pay for the ticket after receiving approval for their outside guest. Grab your tickets early, dust off your best dance moves and get ready for an unforgettable night.
MU ALPHA THETA: See the posters in the hallways about joining Mu Alpha Theta. Payment in the bookstore for new members is due September 21. Current senior members can pay $7 in the bookstore for honor cords. Contact Mrs. Stutheit with any questions.
HOSA: The first meeting for HOSA is after school today in Room A201.
PI SIGMA PI: Pi Sigma Pi Social Science Honor Society will have its first meeting of the year on Friday at 7:45 in the Lower Commons. All members should try to attend--see Google Classroom for details
SCIENCE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: If you're interested in joining Science National Honor Society, come to the meeting after school Wednesday, September 16 in B107.
SEAL OF BILITERACY: Seniors, can you read, write and speak another language? Our first round of Seal of Biliteracy will take place on September 17th and 18th during periods 1-4 for members of the senior class. Students who have signed up for testing will have their attendance excused. Students will be immediately sent back to class as soon as they conclude their testing. Sign up using the QR codes around the building or see Ms. Tomasello in the SFS office or Ms. Rodriguez in room A208.
WEST'S GOT TALENT: Are you getting your act together? West's Got Talent, Maine West's All-School Talent show is revving up for another exciting season. Don't sing? Don't dance? DON'T WORRY! "West's Got Talent" features all kinds of acts and no previous experience is necessary. Whether its magic, juggling or even a beat-boxing performance, we want to see you and your friends on the Maine West stage. An interest meeting will be held on Thursday, September 24 from 3:30 to 4 in R207 and auditions will take place on September 29 and September 30 after school. Have questions?
