SOFTBALL:  There is a Softball Team Informational Meeting today in room G102 at 3:30. Any students interested in trying out should attend. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Dvorak or Coach Addante.

WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT CLUB:  The Women's Empowerment Club will meet for the first time this semester on Thursday morning. The meeting will be held at 8:00 in the CCRC. Reach out to Ms. Hart or Ms. Nelson for more details.

WESTERNER: Do you like talking about sports, pop culture, student life or current issues? The Westerner may have a place for you on its award-winning newspaper staff. Applications for the 2026-2027 Westerner staff are available through the end of the day today. The Westerner is looking for writers, photographers, artists and editors to join our team. Scan the QR code outside of the English office, the Westerner office or in the LRC to apply.

CURRENT EVENTS CLUB:  All students are welcome to attend Current Events Club on Monday, February 2 at 3:00 in C204. Come discuss the impact of the immigration policy on communities throughout the United States. Enjoy a safe space with snacks and good conversation.

BOYS WATER POLO:  Are you interested in joining the Boys' Water Polo team this spring? Please join us for a preseason meeting on Monday, February 2 in A207 to go over important registration details.  We will meet from 3:00 to 3:15 and this meeting is required for anyone planning to participate. Reach out to coach Walzer or Williams with any questions and/or concerns.

STUDENTS:  Do you have any experience as a golf caddy? Please fill out this form to help us learn more about how we can connect you to college scholarships and/or career opportunities. If you have any questions reach out to Dr. McMahon and/or Ms. Adams in the CCRC.

BLACK EXCELLENCE IS EVERYWHERE:  To celebrate Black excellence in our community, District 207's Black cultural clubs and career services is hosting their annual cultural career event, Black Excellence Is Everywhere on February 5th . This year the event will be all day at Maine West High School. All Black identifying students are welcome to attend. To register scan the QR code on the flyers around the school or visit the CCRC (room: B-101).

YEARBOOK:  If you purchased last year’s yearbook, you can pick up your spring supplement in the main office. The supplement includes all the best moments from the end of the year, spring sports, fine arts performances and more!
