Congratulations to seniors Lilli Dockal and Emily Halat on their first place finish at the Sectional Tournament this weekend. The doubles duo will compete in the state tournament Thursday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL:  Girls' Basketball will have open gym after school today in Spec Gym from 3:40-5:00. Anyone planning on trying out for girls' basketball this Winter is welcome.

POETRY CLUB: Poetry club meets after school today in A218. For more info, contact Mr. Khemani.

CHOIR KARAOKE PARTY:  All students are invited to attend a Karaoke party hosted by the choir program after school on Wednesday in the Lower Commons. Please join us for some food, entertainment and an all around great time.

SOAR:  Join SOAR after school Thursday in room C210. All are welcome.

PI SIGMA PI:  Pi Sigma Pi will meet on Friday morning in the Lower Commons at 7:45. Come help us choose upcoming events, field trips, fundraisers and more.

BADMINTON:  It is time to get your Badminton on. Please join us Friday morning at 6:30 in the Spec Gym for our first Badminton Open Gym. No equipment or experience necessary. Just show up and play.

MU ALPHA THETA:  Are you a sophomore, junior or senior looking to join the Math National Honors Society? Check your eligibility and find out how to register for Mu Alpha Theta by scanning the QR codes on the fliers in your math classroom and on the bulletin boards around the school. Registrations must be completed by October 30th. New members need to register AND pay a $10 fee in the bookstore. Seniors have the opportunity to purchase an honors cord to wear during graduation for $6 in the bookstore. We are not able to accept late registrations or orders. Contact Mr. Smith with questions.

FINE ARTS MEDIA CAREER DAY:  The Fine Arts Department at Maine West will be hosting a Media Career Day open to ALL students on Saturday, October 21st, from 8:00am until 12:30pm. Students will visit WGN studios in Chicago and hear from a panel of industry professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for any Maine West student to learn about careers in the media industry. See Ms. Fisher in R209 for a permission slip.

WEST'S GOT TALENT:  The judges have spoken, the cast has been chosen and the talent is immense.  The West's Got Talent Show is well underway.  Make your plans to come and see the most anticipated show of the year.  Friday and Saturday October 27th & 28th.  Mark your calendar and tell your friends.  You won't want to miss it.
