HOMECOMING DANCE:  Tickets for Homecoming Dance are on sale online and in the bookstore for $30.  You will need your ID to purchase a ticket.  The bookstore is not able to scan IDs from phones.

SPEECH TEAM:  Would you like to have more confidence, find your voice or be a more radiant human?  Then join the Maine West Speech Team. Speech Team is a great way to gain your confidence, express yourself, and transform into an amazing human, while having a blast at the same time. The first meeting will be held today after school in room C205. For more information, contact Ms. Alverio (al-VERy-Oh) or Ms. Imberger (im-burger).

GIRLS BASKETBALL:  Girls' Basketball will have open gym after school on Wednesday and Thursday in spec gym starting at 3:40. Anyone planning on trying out for girls' basketball this winter is welcome.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE:  American Sign Language club meets every Tuesday after school in the back of the library. Even if you have not been to a meeting yet all are welcome to join. If you have any questions, see Ms. Coover-Thompson in the library.

CURRENT EVENTS CLUB:  Pi Sigma Pi will host the first Current Events Club meeting after school on Thursday in C220.  We will discuss the Donald Trump and Hunter Biden indictments. Background readings are posted on Google Classroom.

DECA:  Attention all students interested in joining DECA. The deadline to officially join DECA is Friday. Please be sure to follow the instructions posted in our Google Classroom. Also, today is the last day to sign up for the Fall Leadership Conference. Please reach out to Mr. Comerford, Mrs. Mazanowski or Mr. Randazzo with any questions.

IMPROV TEAM:  Are you good at thinking on your feet? If so, check out auditions for the Maine West Improv team immediately after the Drama Club meeting at 4:00 on Wednesday, October 4. Improv Team practices are only once a week in the morning to avoid conflicts with activities and other sports. We will teach you everything you need to know!

FINE ARTS MEDIA CAREER DAY:  The Fine Arts Department at Maine West will be hosting a Media Career Day open to ALL students on Saturday, October 21st, from 8:00am until 12:30pm. Students will visit WGN studios in Chicago and hear from a panel of industry professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for any Maine West student to learn about careers in the media industry. See Ms. Fisher in R209 for a permission slip.
