Come and See the Maine West Musical, The Addams Family, this weekend in the Maine West auditorium. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets cost $7 for students and $10 adults and can be purchased at the door. Hope to see you at this amazing production

The Warrior Girls Basketball team won the IHSA Regional Championship last Friday and the Sectional Semifinal on Monday the 18th! The girls play again today, the 21st at Evanston at 7 pm for the IHSA Sectional Championship. STUDENTS/STAFF:  Attention people who like to eat food: Tuesday Night is the Chipotle Night Fundraiser for Girls Water Polo at the Mannheim location. Please tell them that you are there for Maine West and a percentage of the proceeds go to the team. Thank you.

STUDENTS:  The International Celebration is this Saturday from 12 pm to 3 pm at Maine East in the ABCD Gym. This event is open to the public, so bring your family and friends and enjoy delicious food, fun activities, and cultural performances from around the world! It is absolutely free to attend. STUDENTS:  Was your Valentines Day a bust? Well, look for a new love or a new friend by purchasing your data match in the cafe during lunch periods this week. It only costs $3 to find out your perfect match.

STUDENTS:  For 60 years, the Westerner student newspaper has been the voice of students at Maine West. Covering everything from student trends, to Maine West life, to national and global issues, the award-winning Westerner keeps students informed about their world. If you'd like help shape the way students see the world and be part of next year's Westerner digital or print staff, applications are due today for writers, photographers, artists and editors. STUDENTS:  The National Honor Society is holding a toiletry drive for Journeys, a local organization that helps the homeless in our community. Please bring in toiletries such as shampoos, soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash and socks. The donation bin is in the rotunda. Let’s make a difference and help those in need in our community by bringing in toiletries.

STUDENTS:  Do you love to dance?  Do you love to perform?  Come to the Intramural dance workshop on Friday, February 22nd. You will learn a hip hop dance to perform in the Orchesis Show this year.  We will meet in the dance studio (G-112) after school on Friday the 22nd.

SPRING PLAY:  There is an informational meeting about the Spring Play, All in the Timing, today in Room R207 at 3:30. Come and learn a little about the show and how to have a successful audition next week. Please go to the Fine Arts Office if you have any questions.

CHESS TEAM:  Are you interested in playing competitive chess? Then go to the Chess Team informational meeting today in L-lounge right after school. Boards will be set up to play, so bring your friends!

KEY CLUB:  Key Club will meet Friday at 7:15 am in C102.

AP STUDENTS:  Reminder that the deadline to pay for your AP tests in the bookstore is March 8th. If you misplaced your letter with the AP tests you are scheduled to take, the bookstore has copies. We encourage all of our AP students to take the AP test for the class (es) they are enrolled.

SENIORS:  Please stop by the registrar's office in B102 to verify your name as it will appear on your diploma. It should match the name on your birth certificate. The roster will be available until Friday, March 8.

SENIORS:  If you're interested in Oakton Community College, Oakton staff will be here this Thursday February 21, during periods 3 through 6, to help students with the Oakton Scholarship application. The deadline for Oakton Scholarships is March 1st, so make sure to attend so you don't miss out on free money for college! To register, stop by the CCRC or check your email for the RSVP link.

ACCOUNTING CLUB: Let Accounting Club help you file your free tax return and get your hard earned money back! Sign up for an appointment with a certified tax assistant through the form on our Accounting Club website under the activities tab.

GIRLS WATER POLO:  If you are interested in joining girls water polo, the first practice is Monday, February 25 at 5:30 pm in the pool.  Please register on 8-18.

BOYS TENNIS:  Any boy interested in playing tennis this spring should plan on attending a brief meeting after school today in B-215 at 3:25 pm to discuss the start of the season. If you are unable to attend, you must see Coach Hauenstein in B-215 before the meeting.

GIRLS SOCCER:  Girls interested in trying out for the soccer team, please make sure to register on 8to18 and make sure to have an up to date physical. Girls not registered will not be able to try out. Tryouts start on MONDAY. Freshmen are 5:30 in C-wing, JV at 6 a.m. in SPEC and Varsity at 7:30 in C-wing.

ALL ATHLETES:  Registration for Spring Sports is now open. Most sports begin on Monday, February 25th. EVERYONE must have a current physical on file with the Athletic Office and be registered in "8 to 18" before being allowed to tryout for a sport.  After completing the 8 to 18 registration, you will receive an email telling you when and where to meet for your sports' tryouts.
