GIRLS SOCCER:  The Girls Soccer program will hold a meeting today at 4:00 pm in room
H-106. Everyone interested in playing in the Girls Soccer program this spring is welcome and invited to attend. We are discussing all information necessary for the upcoming season and preseason activities. Bring yourself and your friends to room H-106 this Thursday at 4:00 pm.

IMPROV TEAM:  Are you good at thinking on your feet? Do you enjoy thinking outside the box? If so, consider auditioning for Maine West Drama's Improv Team, the "Improv Warriors". The audition clinic and tryout will be held today at 4 pm immediately following the Drama Club meeting in E209. No experience necessary!

POLISH CLUB: We will have our Polish Club meeting today after school in H-105 to prepare for Friday's Des Plaines Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.

CHILDREN'S BOOK DRIVE:  The National English Honor Society is running a Children's Book Drive through Friday, December 14th. Drop-off any children's books (ages 3-9) at the front of the school, d-wing entrance, or the LRC. Thank you for your support!

You may be due a refund of income taxes and won't get your hard earned money back unless you file a tax return. Come to the next Accounting Club meeting before school on Friday from 7:45-8:15 a.m. in D100 to learn how to prepare a federal tax return.

POLISH CLUB:  Polish Club will meet today after school in room H-105. Bring any crafting material for Christmas decorations.

All you have to do is download the GooseChase App and follow the Maine West CTE department on Instagram. You will have the chance to win a prize after completing various tasks around the school through the app. We will post participation codes on Maine West's CTE instagram before school, beginning of 2nd period, beginning of 4th period, beginning of 8th period and right after school on Friday, November 12th. Winners will also be posted on instagram. Email Mrs. Archer if you have any questions.

Tickets are available at the door. Performances run Thursday at 4:00 pm and Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm. Bring a friend!

FALL PLAY - "WINTER BREAK": Maine West High School is excited to welcome live audiences back to the Maine West Auditorium this season. And this time, audiences will be seated on stage with the actors! The Drama Department proudly presents this year’s fall play, “Winter Break” on October 21st at 4:00 pm and October 22 and 23rd at 7:00 pm. "Winter Break" explores the complicated lives of 19 young adults as they navigate friendships, breakups and finding their place in the world on the first night of Winter Break. Don't miss this hilarious and touching play. Tickets are $7 and sold at the door.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS:  Winter is coming and that means gymnastics.  Do you want to learn some gymnastics skills? No experience required.  Come to an information meeting for Girls Gymnastics September 29 in A Wing gym at 3:10pm to hear what it’s all about! BADMINTON:  Starting on Friday, October 1st at 6:30 am in the spec gym all students and staff are invited to play some Badminton! We will provide the birdies and rackets, just bring yourself and a few friends.

INTERNATIONAL FOOD CLUB:   If you like food, trying new things, and hanging out with friends, you should join the International Food Club! Our first meeting is in H103 on Tuesday, September 28 at 3:30. Email Ms. Zobrist with any questions.

SOAR:  SOAR student leaders will host a casual conversation on Tuesday, September 28 from 3:00 - 3:30 in C218. This is an informal opportunity for students to spend some time building community and learning about each other.
