NEWS FROM THE CCRC: Every Tuesday the CCRC hosts an application workshop called "Apply" Yourself Tuesdays. You are welcome to stop by during your lunch period to get support with applying to colleges, scholarships and even jobs.
VOTER REGISTRATION: Care about the environment, civil rights, your future? Then, vote. Volunteers from Action Ridge will be in the Library today and tomorrow from 9:00 to 3:00 to help students register. 2026 is an election year for Illinois’s Governor, Senator and Representative of Congress. There is a primary on March 17 and the midterm election on November 3. Be ready to make your voice heard. Register to vote now. You are eligible to vote if you will be 18 by November 3, 2026 and are a U.S. citizen. Please bring two of the following items when you come to register, your Illinois Driver’s License or State ID, the last four digits of your social security number and/or another ID. If you forget your IDs but still want to register, come down to the Library anyway, volunteers can give you the tools you need to register at home.
NATIONAL ENGLISH HONOR SOCIETY: If you are interested in becoming a member of the National English Honor Society, please attend one of the following informational meetings in A218 on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. or at 3:00 p.m.
STUDENT VOICE COUNCIL: Do you want to help plan school-wide events like Homecoming Week? Join Student Voice Council. We are meeting Wednesday at 7 am in Room D105. We will be picking our homecoming theme so come for breakfast, planning and 25 spirit points.
SCIENCE OLYMPIAD: Science Olympiad is launching this year, and we want you to be part of this amazing academic competition team. Whether you're passionate about biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, or earth science, Science Olympiad offers something for everyone. We are meeting Friday after school in room B109. Come learn about the exciting events, competitions, and the chance to represent our school at regional and state tournaments. No prior experience necessary – just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm for science.

WEST'S GOT TALENT: Are you getting your act together? An interest meeting for Maine West's Annual Talent Show, "West's Got Talent", will be held on Thursday, September 25 from 3:20 to 4:00 pm in R207. Don't sing? Don't dance? DON'T WORRY! "West's Got Talent" features all kinds of acts and no previous experience is necessary.
