BOOK TRUNK:  November book trunk choices are up in the library windows. Scan the QR code and fill out the form to get a subscription box in November. The themes for the month are Indigenous stories and Chicago stories If you need help accessing the form, ask the librarians for help.

MU ALPHA THETA:  Friday is the last day to pay for Mu Alpha Theta math honor society. Seniors pay $6 in the bookstore for your honor cords. New members pay $10 in the bookstore. See Mrs. Stutheit in B209 with any questions.

BADMINTON:  Attention students, there is Badminton Open Gym before school from 7-8 on Friday, November 1 in the Spec gym.  Enter door #37.  Any questions, please contact Coach Webber, Coach McCluskey or Coach Butterfield.

WEST SIDE: Join West Side by dressing up for Warrior-Ween on Friday.  Friday's home football game will have a costume and blue and gold theme. Wear an appropriate costume, no masks or come decked out in blue and gold spirit. Varsity kicks off 6:30. There will be fun prizes and games.

DRAMA CLUB:  Drama Club will host a Spooky Movie Night today from 4 pm to 6 pm in the Maine West Auditorium where we will screen the classic film "Beetlejuice". Admission is only $3. Bring cash for snacks, candy, pop and popcorn. All concessions are only $2. Proceeds benefit the Drama Club.

Come to the Career and Leadership Summit presented by Nerdy Girl Success at Maine South High School. This awesome event will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 9am-12:30pm. FALL PLAY:  What happens when you combine Cinderella, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty and Peter Pan with a Midsummer Night's Dream? Find out by experiencing this year's hilarious fall play, "Fairycakes" by Douglas Carter Beane. Join us for a hilarious re-imagining of Shakespeare's classic comedy and our favorite fairytales. NEW FROM THE SCHOOL BASED HEALTH CENTER:  The School Based Health Center and Gabriel's Light are collaborating to bring teen Mental Health First Aid Training to Maine West students in October. Gabriel's Light certifies students who can recognize and address peers' mental health concerns by linking them with supportive services through a trusted adult. There are only 30 slots available  In order to become certified you must register and attend all three training sessions. Sessions will be held after school, from 3:30pm -5pm on October 21st, 22nd, and 24th. Scan the flyer and register today!
