BOOK TRUNK: November book trunk choices are up in the library windows. Scan the QR code and fill out the form to get a subscription box in November. The themes for the month are Indigenous stories and Chicago stories If you need help accessing the form, ask the librarians for help.
MU ALPHA THETA: Scan the QR code on the posters around the school for information about Mu Alpha Theta. New members need to pay $10 in the bookstore. Seniors need to pay $6 in the bookstore for honor cords. Please pay by November 1st. Check our Google Classroom page for announcements. See Mrs. Stutheit in B209 with any questions.
BOYS BASKETBALL: For student athletes interested in trying out for boys basketball this season, there will be an informational meeting today at 3:30 in room G102. Tryouts begin Monday, November 11th. All participants must have a current physical on file and be registered on 8 to 18. Please contact Coach Paxson for any questions.
FASHION & COSMETOLOGY CLUB: Fashion & Cosmetology club will meet Wednesday after school in C108. We will be doing a Halloween makeup challenge so please bring your own makeup and brushes.
CO-ED CHEERLEADING: Coed Cheerleading tryouts are Wednesday in the Fieldhouse at 5pm. We are encouraging male athletes to be a part of this state qualifying program as we embark on the journey to return to the State Finals where we are currently ranked #17 in Illinois.

NATIONAL ENGLISH HONOR SOCIETY: If you are interested in joining The National English Honor Society, please attend an informational meeting on Wednesday in A218 before school at 8:00 am or after school at 3:00 pm. Application information and membership requirements will be reviewed.
DRAMA CLUB: Drama Club will host a Spooky Movie Night on Thursday from 4 pm to 6 pm in the Maine West Auditorium where we will screen the classic film "Beetlejuice". Admission is only $3. Bring cash for snacks, candy, pop and popcorn. All concessions are only $2. Proceeds benefit the Drama Club.
GIRLS GYMNASTICS: Tryouts for girls gymnastics will be on Tuesday, November 12th from 3:45-5:45 PM in the A-wing gym. Make sure you register on Snap Manage prior to tryouts and have a current physical on file. Come to the Career and Leadership Summit presented by Nerdy Girl Success at Maine South High School. This awesome event will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 9am-12:30pm.
