Student Voice is hosting a Halloween Costume Contest today. Wear your best costume to enter the costume contest either individually or as a group. Look for posters with the QR code to submit your photos. There are multiple categories to increase your chance of winning. Contest winners will be announced on Monday via Instagram. There will also be “selfie stations” in the upper and lower commons to take pictures just for fun.
Kick back on Monday, Halloween by wearing your Halloween themed pajamas or your orange and black. Face painting and guessing jars also happening during lunch periods on Monday.
AP EXAMS: Have you joined Total Registration yet? Having a Total Registration account is mandatory in order to have AP exams ordered for you. Do you need help with registration? Stop by the CCRC today during your lunch and see Ms. Adams for help with account set-up!
WEST'S GOT TALENT: Come to one of the most anticipated events of the year, West's Got Talent! Come experience the amazing array of talents at Maine West, including magic acts, live bands, cultural dances, vocal acts and our very own Orchestra Pit. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7 pm in the Maine West Auditorium. Tickets are $7 for students and $10 for adults and may be purchased in the bookstore, online and at the door.
MW UNPLUGGED: Maine West Unplugged will meet in the LRC after school today. Please bring your acoustic instrument for a low-key and relaxed musical experience. If you have any questions, please talk to Mr. Greenberg in the LRC.
FENCING: Tryouts for fencing begin Tuesday, November 1 at 3:30 pm in the field house. Don't forget to register on 8to18.
MUSICAL COSTUME CREW: Musical Costume Crew begins Monday, November 14th. Meet backstage of the auditorium at 3:30 pm. No experience required! Help with the costumes and makeup for the Young Frankenstein.
IMPROV AUDITIONS: Are you good at thinking on your feet? If so, come check out auditions for the Maine West Improv Warriors immediately after the Drama Club meeting at 4 pm on Wednesday, November 2. Improv Team practices are only once a week in the morning to avoid conflicts with activities and other sports. We will teach you everything you need to know.
