PI SIGMA PI: On Wednesday, Pi Sigma Pi will host a roundtable with the new police chief of the city of Des Plaines. This is a great opportunity to meet the people who are here to serve and protect you, as well as ask questions or voice concerns. Any interested students can join us at 3:30 in E110.

IMPROV TEAM:  Are you good at thinking on your feet? Do you enjoy thinking outside the box? If so, consider auditioning for Maine West Drama's Improv Team, the "Improv Warriors". The audition clinic and tryout will be held Wednesday, December 1st at 4 pm immediately following the Drama Club meeting in E209. No experience necessary!

SOAR:  SOAR students will participate in learning and discussion today after school from 3:00 - 3:30 in C218. This is an informal opportunity for students to spend some time building community and learning about each other.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2021

STUDENTS:  Come support your Warrior Wrestlers in their opening scrimmage of the year in the Field House at 5:30. It will be the first-ever Blue/Gold scrimmage in the new Field House. See you at 5:30.

MOVIE CLUB:  Come to movie club after school today in H106. Movie club will be showing the worldwide smash hit: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. 

MUSICAL APPRECIATION SOCIETY:  The Maine West Music Appreciation society is meeting after school today in the LRC. If you are interested in learning about new music and sharing your favorite tunes with other students, please become a member.  See Mr. Greenberg in the LRC for more information.

ACCOUNTING CLUB:  Do you have a job? Did you have a job this summer? Or do plan on getting one for the holidays? If so, you should learn how to prepare your federal income tax return! You may be due a refund of income taxes and won't get your hard earned money back unless you file a tax return. Come to the next Accounting Club meeting before school on Friday from 7:45-8:15 a.m. in D100 to learn how to prepare a federal tax return.

POLISH CLUB:  Polish Club will meet today after school in room H-105. Bring any crafting material for Christmas decorations.

STUDENTS: Is your math class not adding up? Is your English class lost in translation? Has your science class turned into a bad experiment? Don't worry. Help is here. COACH tutors are available before school every day in the LRC. Just stop in and look for the COACH signs. Also, freshmen and sophomores, most study halls have a COACH tutor to help as well. Be sure to ask your study hall supervisor if you would like to meet with a COACH tutor.
