Here’s what’s happening each day:

Thursday: Haunted vs. Hollywood — go scary or celebrity style, your choice.
And of course, Friday is Blue and Gold Day. Show off that Warrior pride.

Lights, camera… SCARE-action! Let’s make this the best Homecoming Week ever!

GET PIED UP FOR CHARITY:  Hey, varsity athletes. Want to help raise money for a great cause — and maybe take a pie to the face while you’re at it?   Thursday during all lunch periods, students will have the chance to pie a varsity athlete for charity.  If you’re up for the challenge, sign up today. You can find the link on the TVs around school and on our Instagram page.  Let’s see which team has the most spirit and the best sense of humor.

CRAFTY BAKE SALE:  To celebrate homecoming week, the Speech Team is having a crafty bake sale today and tomorrow during lunch in the lower commons. The team will be selling cute crafts, including Maine West themed stickers, custom pens and crocheted stuffies to name a few. A delicious array of freshly baked goods will also be available for purchase. Bring cash or get a credit card "receipt of purchase" from the bookstore to buy items.

NEWS FROM THE CCRC:  Tomorrow in the CCRC, Ms. Nelson will be hosting a Resume Building Workshop. Stop by tomorrow before school at 8:00 to get support with building your resume.

FASHION AND COSMETOLOGY CLUB:  Bring on your Maine West spirit this homecoming week by joining us at the Fashion & Cosmetology Club today after school in C108 to make spirit tu-tu's. Please pay $5 in the bookstore prior to the meeting to purchase your kit.

HOMECOMING:  Join us for the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 25th from 7:00–9:30 PM in Spec Gym and the Field House! Tickets are on sale now for $30 on 5Star and in the bookstore through Friday, 10/24 at 3:30 PM. Please bring a physical ID or ID barcode to the bookstore to buy your ticket. Bringing a guest? You must complete the online form using the QR codes in either the bookstore or outside the APSS office by 3:00 today. Guest forms must be approved before purchasing their ticket in 5Star. Guest tickets are not sold at the door.

GIRLS BASKETBALL:  Girls basketball will have its final open gym on Thursday in the Field House from 3:30-4:30pm. Come and join us as we prepare for tryouts. Tryouts begin on Monday, November 3rd.

BOYS BASKETBALL:  For all student-athletes interested in trying out for Boys' Basketball this season, there will be an informational meeting on Thursday in Room A201 at 3:30.

BADMINTON:  There is a Badminton Open Gym Friday Morning from 6:30-8:00 in Spec Gym. Equipment will be provided. Gym shoes are required. Please enter the building through the Field House doors(34c) between 6:20-6:45.

YEARBOOK:  If you purchased last year’s yearbook, you can pick up your spring supplement in the main office. The supplement includes all the best moments from the end of the year, spring sports, fine arts performances, and more! 

PI SIGMA PI:  Pi Sigma Pi will have its next all-club meeting on Friday, October 31st at 7:45 in the Lower Commons. Come meet our new officers, find out about upcoming activities and volunteer opportunities, and kick off Halloween. See Ms. Lanham or Ms. Murray with questions.
