Hey Warriors! Get ready — next week is Haunted Hollywood Homecoming Week!
Here’s what’s happening each day:
Monday: Scary Sleepover — roll out of bed and come to school in your pajamas.
Tuesday: Halloween Class Colors — Seniors wear black, Juniors purple, Sophomores white, and Freshmen orange.
Wednesday: Addams Day — dress like Adam Sandler or someone from the Addams Family.
Thursday: Haunted vs. Hollywood — go scary or celebrity style, your choice.
And of course, Friday is Blue and Gold Day. Show off that Warrior pride.

Lights, camera… SCARE-action! Let’s make this the best Homecoming Week ever!
CRAFTY BAKE SALE: To celebrate homecoming week, the Speech Team is having a CRAFTY BAKE SALE Wednesday and Thursday during lunch in the lower commons. The team will be selling cute crafts, including Maine West themed stickers, custom pens, and crocheted stuffies to name a few. A delicious array of freshly baked goods will also be available for purchase! Bring cash, or get a credit card "receipt of purchase" from the bookstore to buy items.
FASHION AND COSMETOLOGY CLUB: Bring on your Maine West spirit this homecoming week by joining us at the Fashion & Cosmetology Club on Wednesday after school in C108 to make spirit tu-tu's. Please pay $5 in the bookstore prior to the meeting to purchase your kit.
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Girls basketball tryouts start on Monday, November 3rd. We will have an informational meeting on Tuesday in Spec Gym followed by an open gym from 3:30-4:30. Come learn more about our season and prepare for tryouts.
HOMECOMING: Join us for the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 25th from 7:00–9:30 PM in Spec Gym and the Field House! Tickets are on sale now for $30 on 5Star and in the bookstore through Friday, 10/24 at 3:30 PM. Don’t wait—get yours early! Please bring a physical ID or ID barcode to the bookstore to buy your ticket. Bringing a guest? You must complete the online form using the QR codes in either the bookstore or outside the APSS offices. Guest forms must be approved before purchasing their ticket in 5Star. Guest tickets are not sold at the door.
YEARBOOK: If you purchased last year’s yearbook, you can pick up your spring supplement in the main office. The supplement includes all the best moments from the end of the year, spring sports, fine arts performances, and more!
GYMNASTICS: Open gym for girls gymnastics will run on most Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the month of October. See our full schedule on Instagram or reach out to Coach May. No experience required. Bring water and wear athletic clothing.
