BLOOD DRIVE: Join us for the Fall Blood Drive on Thursday in the Spec Gym Foyer from 8:30-2:30. You can schedule via the QR codes posted in the hallways or come to the registration table in the lower commons from 11-1:30 today. Students who are 17 or 18 can give and students who are 16 will need consent from a parent or guardian. Students may only donate during lunch, PE, or free period, and each donor will receive 25 spirit points and a free pint of ice cream from Culvers.
FASHION & COSMETOLOGY CLUB: Fashion & Cosmetology Club will be kicking off the year with our first meeting today after school in C108. We will be designing sunglasses to wear for the USA themed football game. Come join us to make this fun accessory and learn about our club and activities for the year. Supplies will be provided.
HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America): We are starting a HOSA -Health Occupations Student of America chapter here at Maine West. We are looking for juniors and seniors interested in healthcare. Our first meeting is after school today in A201.
COLLEGE FAIR AND POST SECONDARY EXPO: All D207 students and families are invited to attend the College Fair and Postsecondary Expo tonight from 6:30-8:30 at Maine East High School. This event will host approximately 150 colleges and 40 trades, apprenticeships, military recruiters, and more. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Adams or Ms. Nelson in the CCRC.

PRINCIPAL'S LEADERSHIP TEAM: The Principal's Leadership Team exists to give students a voice in making decisions that affect their quality of life in school. The group meets once per month with Dr. McMahon to organize events and activities and provide feedback on school life. Attendance is required. The group is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. NEWS FROM THE CCRC: Every Tuesday the CCRC will be hosting an application workshop called "Apply" Yourself Tuesdays. You are welcome to stop by during your lunch period to get support with applying to colleges, scholarships, and even jobs. The first workshop will be Tuesday in the CCRC room B-101.
