VOTER REGISTRATION:  Care about the environment, civil rights, your future? Then, vote! We will be registering students to vote at Maine West on February 8 and 9. This is an election year for President and Congress, with the primaries in March and the general election in November. You are eligible to vote in the upcoming March and November elections if you: will be 18 by November 5 and are a U.S. citizen.  Volunteers from Action Ridge will be in the Library on Thursday, February 8 and Friday, February 9 from 9-2 to help students register.

Registering is quick and easy. For the most streamlined experience, please bring two of the following items when you come to register:  your Illinois Driver’s License or State ID,  the last four digits of your social security number, and/or another ID.  If you forget your IDs but still want to register, come down to the Library anyway. Volunteers can give you the tools you need to register at home.

If you’re already registered, amplify your vote--get your friends to register. Now is the time for everyone to be ‘Vote Ready!’"
