SENIORS: Seniors, if you haven't done the FAFSA yet, come to a workshop Saturday to get it all done in one sitting. The workshop will be in the CCRC from 10am-1pm and our ISAC representatives can assist in English and Spanish. Please see Ms. Holmes if you have questions about what to have prepared to complete the FAFSA.
MUSIC APPRECIATION SOCIETY: The Maine West Music Appreciation Society will meet after school today in the LRC. Come share your favorite songs and pick up some new favorites while in the club.
BOYS BASKETBALL: If you are interested in trying out for Boys' Basketball, there is an informational meeting Tuesday at 3:15 pm in Room G102. Please email Coach Paxson or Coach Abas with any questions.
FENCING: Epee, Foil, Saber OH MY!!, If you are interested in real sword fighting, join Coach Z and Coach Doug at 3:30 on Tuesday in room A112 for a fencing information meeting.
GIRLS GYMNASTICS: Come to gymnastics open gym today at 3:30 in A-wing gym. Our season starts November 7. Please register on 8to18 and see coach Harrison in the main office if you have any questions.
CHEERLEADING: Maine West Cheerleading will host clinics and tryouts for the competitive season on October 25 and 26 in the fieldhouse. All Boys and Girls are welcome. You must sign up on 8to18 and have a current physical on file.
STUDENTS: The Class of 2025 is sponsoring a Chicken Nugget Face-Off after school today in the lower commons. The event is $5 and will get you nuggets, games, a raffle, and a free ticket to the football game. ALL are welcome.
WEST'S GOT TALENT: Tickets are now on sale for one of the most anticipated events of the year, West's Got Talent! Come experience the amazing array of talents at Maine West, including magic acts, live bands, cultural dances, vocal acts and our very own Orchestra Pit. Performances run Thursday, October 26 at 5 pm and October 27 through the 28 at 7pm in the Maine West Auditorium. Tickets are $7 for students and $10 for adults and may be purchased in the bookstore, online and at the door.
MU ALPHA THETA (NATIONAL MATH HONOR SOCIETY): If you are a hard-working and talented math student in 10th, 11th or 12th grade, Mu Alpha Theta is the club for you! The Maine West chapter of this National Honor Society strives to honor students who excel and work hard in their math classes. Check out our fliers on the bulletin boards throughout the school for links to Mu Alpha Theta eligibility and registration. Registration fee is $10 for new members. Returning members do not have to pay again. Senior Honor Cords are $6. Registration is due today.
