ACCOUNTING CLUB:  Maine West's Accounting Club is starting up this week. Accounting Club will have an informational meeting before school on Thursday, September 1 at 7:45 a.m. in D102. Accounting Club is open to all students who want to learn how to prepare an individual tax return. So, if you have a job or help manage your family's finances, you should check it out. Also, if you're interested in accounting as a career, you should come as well.

WEST SIDE DANCE COMPANY:  Do you love to dance and perform?  Auditions for the West Side Dance Company are coming up next week.  Attend the pre-audition clinics next Tuesday and Wednesday after school in the Dance Studio (G112).

BOYS AND GIRLS POWERLIFTING:  There will be an informational meeting about the powerlifting team on Tuesday, September 6 in G102 from 3:30-4:00 pm.  Come get information about powerlifting and future events this year.  All are welcome.

SOFTBALL INTRAMURALS:  Any individual interested in playing softball in the Spring, we will  have an intramural day on September 7 from 3:30pm-4:30pm out on the varsity softball field weather permitting. FALL PLAY COSTUME CREW:  The Fall Play Costume Crew begins on September 13th. Meet in the backstage of the auditorium at 3:30pm. No experience required! Help with the costumes and makeup for the Fall Play. All students are welcome.

POST-SECONDARY EXPO:  You won’t want to miss District 207’s College & Post-Secondary Expo. Join us at Maine East on Wednesday, September 7th to speak with hundreds of college reps, learn about high-demand careers, and explore your options for next-steps after high school. All career paths will be represented and there will be something for everyone. The event is from 6:30-8:30 PM and is open to all, but it is strongly encouraged for Junior and Senior students.

PI SIGMA PI:  Pi Sigma Pi, the Social Science Honor Society, will have its first meeting of the year on Friday, September 9th in the Lower Commons at 7:45 a.m. All current members are invited to brainstorm activities, find out about leadership opportunities, and kick off the 2022-23 school year.
