MUSIC APPRECIATION SOCIETY: The Maine West Music Appreciation Society will meet today after school in the LRC. We will be celebrating Black History Month by focusing on black artists. Bring some tunes to share or just come and listen.
ACCOUNTING CLUB: Did you have a job in 2021? Did you get a W-2 in the mail and are unsure what to do with it? Do your parents file your taxes for you? If you answered "Yes!" to any of these questions, then you need the help of the Maine West Accounting Club. Our IRS certified members will help you prepare your tax return for free. Go to the Accounting Club website, or scan the QR code on posters around the school to sign up for an appointment now through April 15th. Don't wait for the last minute--learn the important skill of preparing a tax return and get your tax refund quickly!
SCHOLASTIC BOWL: The 16th Annual Faculty vs. Students Scholastic Bowl competition will be held on Tuesday, March 15th from 3:15-4:30 pm in the Upper Commons area. If you would like to participate, please contact Todd Ruder. Scholastic Bowl is a trivia competition like Jeopardy, Trivial Pursuit or Trivia Crack.

STUDENTS: This month, the Warrior Library wants you to fall in love with a GREAT book! The LRC presents "Blind Date With a Book!" February 7-28. Come to the LRC and pick one of our wrapped books that have a brief summary of the story. Check out a book that sounds interesting. We will give you a "rate your date" bookmark. After you check out the book, unwrap it to meet your date. Give your book a chance and hopefully it'll be a match made in heaven! Fill out the "rate your date" bookmark and return the bookmark and the book to the library, and you will be entered into the raffle to win cool prizes. Drop by the LRC today to fall in love with your next book.
GIRLS SOCCER: Girls Soccer tryouts will take place Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the Fieldhouse. Tuesday, March 1, tryouts will be in the Fieldhouse beginning at 6:00 am.
SOFTBALL: Freshman Softball Tryouts begin Monday at 3:30 in A Wing gym. You must be signed up on the Maine West Athletics 8 to 18 in order to try out. There will be an open Gym for Sophomores through Seniors at 5pm with tryouts beginning on Tuesday. Please contact Coach Dvorak at

SPRING PLAY: Announcing the spring play....LOST GIRL by Kimberly Belflower. This play is a highly acclaimed modern coming-of-age story that is a spin off of Peter Pan. You will want to be a part of this production. We are seeking a diverse cast of people to fill the roles in this play. Everyone has an amazing part to play in this story. We welcome all levels of actors. No previous experience is necessary. Come on out to the informational meeting today after school in R207. MAINE WEST SCHOLARSHIP FUND: The Maine West Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce that the Maine West Scholarship Fund is officially open for applications for the class of 2022.
