JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  This week's college visits are Bradley University, Butler University, Pennsylvania-State University, Millikin University, Drake University, Williams College and Tulane University of Louisiana.  Stop down to the CCRC to get a college visit pass.

SPANISH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY:  The first meeting of the Spanish National Honor Society for current members will be in A207 before school on Wednesday, September 15, 7:45-8:00 am and after school on Thursday, September 16, 3:10-3:25 pm.

BOARD GAME CLUB:  Come join board game club.  We meet every Wednesday from 3:00-6:00 pm in A218.  No experience necessary.

SENIOR CLASS COUNCIL:  We will be having a senior class council meeting Wednesday at 3:15 pm in C107.

ASIAN CLUB:  Are you interested in the eastern world?  Do you like trying new foods?  Do you like Asian culture, anime or kpop?  Maine West Asian club will be having their first meeting Wednesday afterschool in the LRC.  Everyone is welcome to join.

COACH:  COACH is looking for student tutors. COACH tutors volunteer in study halls and before school in the LRC to help peers with their academics. If you like helping others, are looking for experience in teaching or working with others, or just want to make a difference at Maine West, come to the COACH informational meeting today at 3:15 in C201. PI SIGMA PI:  Pi Sigma Pi will hold its officer elections on Friday, September 17th at 7:45 a.m. in C-wing Gym. We will also take a yearbook picture at this time. Officer candidates must have statements submitted on Google Classroom today. Contact Mrs. Hendrickson or Ms. Littlefield Lanham with questions.

SCHOLASTIC BOWL:  Attention all students and Trivia fans! If you like playing Trivia Crack or watching Jeopardy, come to the first Scholastic Bowl practice of the season on Thursday, September 16th from 3:10-4:10 in A108.

COMPUTER SCIENCE CLUB:  The Computer Science Club will have its first meeting on Thursday, September 16th right after school in room B211. Anyone interested in programming is welcome to join. We'll be learning to program in Python and use Raspberry Pi, with the goal of helping every club member create their own project by the end of the school year. Send any questions to Ms. Levin.

STUDENT VOICE COMMITTEE:  Student Voice Committee is meeting Thursday at 7:45 am in H106.

WEST'S GOT TALENT:  GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! An interest meeting for Maine West's Annual Talent Show, "West's Got Talent", will be held today from 3:15 to 4:00 pm in R207. Don't sing? Don't dance? DON'T WORRY! "West's Got Talent" features all kinds of acts and no previous experience is necessary! Whether its magic, juggling or even a bottle flipping contest, we want to see you and your friends on the Maine West stage! Email Mr. Harmon, Mrs. Jacob or Mr. Schiffer if you have any questions.

FASHION AND COSMETOLOGY CLUB:  Do you love fashion hacks, makeup tutorials and DIY projects? If so, then Fashion & Cosmetology Club is for you! Come join us at our first meeting on Thursday, September 16 @ 3:30pm in C108 to learn more about the club and the activities/projects we have planned for the year. We will also have a quick lesson on how to create a fashion sketch.

GIRLS' BASKETBALL:  Girls' Basketball will be having its first Fall Open Gym this Thursday, September 16th at 3:30pm in the Fieldhouse. No prior experience is necessary, and we would love for you to join us in preparation for our season! Please contact Coach Kuzmanic if you have any questions.

STUDENTS:  We are so excited to start a new school year and have all of you back in the building. We are looking forward to our athletic teams, clubs and organizations at Maine West being back in action and that is why we need YOU to get involved with WestSide Spirit Club!  Here at Maine West we take pride in our tremendous school spirit and our school climate that promotes inclusiveness and positivity. WestSide Spirit Club is a way for you to get involved, cheer on your peers in the many clubs, activities and athletics we have at MW and spread the warmth!
