PSAT & SAT 2019
Freshmen and Juniors will be testing today.Sophomores will be testing on Wednesday, April 10th.
Seniors are not in attendance today or Wednesday.
Students need to be in their assigned Homerooms by 8:00 am. The test begins promptly at 8:05 am. You may find your homeroom number in your schedule or in your student ID. Students testing with accommodations will not go to their homerooms, they will receive a letter with their room assignment. Testing will conclude approximately at 1:10 pm for Juniors and around noon for both Freshmen and Sophomores.
STUDENTS: April is National Poetry Month. The LRC is celebrating with a Blackout poetry event that will run all month long. Come to the LRC and pick up one of our black out sheets and create your own blackout poem. Turn it in at the front desk, and after review, we will post it in our display cabinet! We hope to have no blank space by the end of the month.
STUDENTS: Did you have a job in 2018? Did you know that you may be eligible to get a tax refund? So far, Accounting Club has helped students like you get back $1,400 in tax refunds. The April 15 deadline is approaching fast, so now is the time to get your tax return done. Sign up for free help from an Accounting Club student by snapping the QR code on flyers around the school.
JUNIORS: Junior Prom is April 27. The theme is "A Night In Paris." Tickets are now on sale in the bookstore for $30 ($35 at the door). If you are bringing a guest, forms are available in the bookstore.
STUDENTS: This Saturday, April 13, at 9 am, Maine West will be transporting students and families to the Latino Family Conference at National Louis University. This free event will be completely in Spanish and will cover topics relating to the college process and supporting students. There will also be free food, free entertainment and free childcare. All are welcome. If you plan to attend, you must stop by the CCRC to sign up. Registration is required.
