STUDENTS:  Student Council will be meeting today during the lunch periods in L101. Anyone running for office should bring their paperwork so it can be approved by Mrs. Archer & Ms. Lloyd. We will also be giving additional details regarding the new event on March 15th. Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting.

STUDENTS:  Want to eat great food and support Patrick Lives On, our school wide fundraiser?
Join us for food truck month at Maine West!  On Tuesday and Wednesday blue and gold block days food trucks will be available during lunch-study periods in front of the school.  This week you'll be able to purchase Beaver's Donuts TODAY, tacos TOMORROW.

STUDENTS/STAFF:  Today is the 14th annual faculty vs students Scholastic Bowl Competition. If you're a fan of trivia, come to the Corner Cafe after school to witness a trivial battle. So far, faculty are ahead 9-4 but only time will tell if the faculty can achieve their 10th win. Come cheer on the good guys.

STUDENTS:  Are you interested in a healthcare volunteer opportunity? Come to the CCRC on Wednesday during lunch periods to speak with a healthcare professional looking to interview potential student volunteers.

STUDENTS:  Do you have questions about college? Come to our March Madness College Panels! Nearly 55 colleges and universities will be visiting Maine West to take part in College Panels through this Wednesday. For a full schedule, check your email or stop by the CCRC. You must bring a College Visit Slip with you to the panels and must obtain teacher permission to attend if the time conflicts with a class. Stop by the CCRC or email Mr Dailey with any questions.

STUDENTS:  The week has finally come! The Maine West Orchesis Dance Company has been preparing an AMAZING show for you.  "One Leap Around the Sun" features hip hop, jazz, comedy, wonderful contemporary, all guy dances and the breathtaking adagio dance. We are featuring the Orchesis Dance company, the dance classes and alumni dance and so much more. Come and see OVER 100 DANCERS in the show this year, YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT.  Thursday at 4, Friday & Saturday at 7. Tickets are $5 for students, and $7 for adults.

PASS/FAIL FORMS:  Pass/Fail forms will be available from Monday, March 11 through Friday April 5 in the Student Services - Room B102. Forms are due Friday, April 5.

AP STUDENTS:  Reminder that the deadline to pay for your AP tests in the bookstore is March 8th. If you misplaced your letter with the AP tests you are scheduled to take, the bookstore has copies. We encourage all of our AP students to take the AP test for the class (es) they are enrolled.

SENIORS:  Please stop by the registrar's office in B102 to verify your name as it will appear on your diploma. It should match the name on your birth certificate. The roster will be available until Friday, March 8.

SENIORS:  Have you applied for the Maine West Scholarship Fund scholarships? Mr. Dailey will be hosting Maine West scholarship workshops on Friday March 8th during periods 3 through 6. To sign up, please check your email or stop by the CCRC. Both four-year and Oakton scholarships are available. Stop by the CCRC to pick up or turn in the Oakton scholarship or head over to GoingMerry.com to apply for the four-year scholarship.

SUMMER SCHOOL DRIVER'S EDUCATION:  Summer School Driver's Ed registration is underway.  You can find the registration packet on-line or you can stop in the main office.
