Want to eat great food and support Patrick Lives On, our school wide fundraiser? Join us for food truck month at Maine West!  During block lunch periods on Tuesday, La Cocinita will be out front.

STUDENTS:  On Thursday, March 21 we will have a one hour extended homeroom. All students will be going to their homerooms right after 2nd period. Seniors will participate in a dating violence prevention tutorial. Freshmen through Juniors will complete the non-testing portion of the mandatory SAT suite of assessments taking place April 9th and 10th.

This pre-administration session on March 21 is required in order to take the tests on April 9 and
April 10 that are mandatory tests.
  • Please bring a #2 pencil. No Mechanical Pencils!
  • If you are a Junior, you can select 4 colleges/universities to send the SAT scores to FREE of charge. Have a conversation with your parents about what colleges to select during the pre-bubbling day.

AP STUDENTS:  We have good news for those of you who missed the AP test payment deadline:
College Board is allowing us to add to our order and continue to submit test orders from now until March 20 without the $55 late fee penalty. So, if you want to take an AP test that you did not register for and pay, please go to the bookstore, bring your student ID and pay from now until Wednesday, March 20.

STUDENTS:  Capitol Forum is a small group of sophomore students dedicated to changing the world and getting people to recognize the importance of human rights. This year, following NHS’s lead, they will team up with Journeys: The Road Home, an organization serving the homeless population in the northwest suburbs. We will collect non-perishable food items that will be distributed from the organization’s center in Palatine. These items include canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, cookies, crackers, and individually-wrapped snack items. These items will make an immediate positive impact on people’s lives. Helping Hands for the Homeless runs March 14-22. Bring items to C-204 and contact Ms. Littlefield Lanham for more information.

PASS/FAIL FORMS:  Pass/Fail forms are available through Friday April 5 in Student Services - Room B102. Forms are due Friday, April 5.

SUMMER SCHOOL DRIVER'S EDUCATION:  Summer School Driver's Ed registration is underway.  You can find the registration packet on-line or you can stop in the main office.
