STUDENTS: Attention Seniors: Last day to buy Prom tickets is TOMORROW Friday, May 12th at 3pm! Tickets will not be sold at the door. You must have your ID to purchase a ticket and you MUST have your ID @ Prom to be admitted. If your date in NOT a Maine West student, you must have your guest form filled out and signed before you can purchase any tickets. THERE WILL BE LONG LINES –YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

STUDENTS:Auditions for the 2017-2018 Warriorettes dance team is today May 11th. Wear comfortable clothes No prior dance experience is necessary. We are looking for a both a large varsity and JV squad this year. If you have any questions, please see Coach Marchionna.

STUDENTS:If you have friends, you're going to need autograph pages for your yearbook...
Snaps are gone tomorrow, Facebook and Twitter may not last the next 20 years, but those notes in your yearbook from your classmates will be yours forever. Buy extra autograph pages in the Westerner newspaper office-- in A200 -- before or after school or during your free period this week for only $1.50. There's a limited supply of autograph inserts, and when they're gone, they're gone! Stop by A200 for yours."

STUDENTS: Last week was the State Competition for History Fair in Illinois. Maine West sent 14 students to the competition for historical papers, websites, and exhibits. This year Olena Andrushko, Cam Ang, Corinne Bellot, Jillian Brosch, Allison Eby, Marissa Fucarino, Justyne Go, Ella Kurutz, Madeleine Mirza, Michael Montanile, Anthony Ortigoza, Charles Rodd, Armando Rodea, and Connor Ryan. For the first time in Maine West history, all projects scored Excellent or Superior marks. One group was selected out of thousands of websites to represent Illinois and Maine West at the National History Day Competition in Washington D.C. in June. A huge congratulations to Allison Eby and Madeleine Mirza for their hard work on their website on the Jane Collective. Make us proud at Nationals!!!"

STUDENTS: Tryouts for the 2017-2018 Coed Cheerleading team are on Thursday, May 18th at 5:30 pm. We will have open gym clinics on Wednesday May 17th at 5:30 in A-wing gym. Come dressed in athletic clothes and be ready to learn what it takes to be part of an award winning program! Both girls and boys are encouraged to come and no experience is necessary, we will teach you all you need to know!

STUDENTS: Pi Sigma Pi Members, We will be having our initiation picnic on Thursday, May 18th from 3:30 to 4:45 in the grassy area outside C-wing gym. The picnic is free for all current members. Members must pick up a ticket from the bookstore by Friday, May 12th in order to attend.

Seniors, if you are still working on your FAFSA, need to make corrections, or if you have questions about loans and paying for college, be sure to come in and meet with the specialist.

Juniors, come in to ask about paying for college. Complete a net price calculator. Start a scholarship search. This is one of our last weeks with the FAFSA specialist this school year, so be sure to come in and meet with her!

Seniors, if you are still trying to make a plan for after graduation, be sure to see your counselor or Ms. Abraham! There are a variety of resources available. Also, if you are changing your plans for college, there are still schools accepting applications. Stop in the CRC for more information
