SENIORS:  Please make sure you check your emails from Dr. Haugan regarding a senior picture request and a scholarship opportunity for seniors who will be attending Oakton in the fall. Deadline is Friday.

STUDENTS:  The fitness center will be open and available to students from 3:30pm-5pm on regular school days from now until final exams. Proper workout attire and student conduct are required. Come in for a great workout and GO Warriors!

STUDENTS:  The blood drive is Friday in C wing gym. Please take a moment to sign up in the cafeteria. All 16 and 17 year olds need a permission slip to be able to donate. You can also sign up on the Maine West website.

STUDENTS:  Do you have what it takes to be a model? Come to our Maine West Model search on Tuesday, April 11 after school in the Little Theater (L101) where you will be auditioning to model either a tuxedo or prom dress in the Maine West fashion show.

STUDENTS: Going to a prom this spring? Don't want to pay over $100 for a tux? Then enter the raffle for a free tux. Tickets are $1 or six tickets for $5 in the bookstore. Drawing will be April 13.

STUDENTS: Capitol Forum is teaming up with Stand Up for Kids and collecting travel-sized toiletries like soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes, feminine products, and individually-wrapped snack items. These items will make an immediate positive impact on the lives of area kids. Stand Up for Kids runs April 3-13. Bring items to C-215 and contact Ms. Littlefield Lanham for more information.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY:  If you have been accepted as a new member of the 2017-18 National Honor Society, please attend our first mandatory meeting on Thursday, April 6 at 7:00 am in L101.  We will discuss officer roles and other important membership information.  If you haven't paid your $25 membership fee, please do so today.  This meeting is for new members only.

STUDENTS:  Freshmen, sophomores and seniors will not be in attendance on Wednesday, April 5th.
Juniors will be taking a required SAT test. Please note that Wednesday April 5th is NOT a Late Arrival Day. Juniors need to be in their assigned advisories by 7:45 am. You may find your room number in your schedule or on your student ID. Juniors testing with accommodations will not go to their advisories, they will receive a letter with their room assignment. Testing will conclude approximately at 12:30 pm and buses will depart by 12:40 pm

The April 5th SAT test is required for graduation so do not be absent on April 5th. See our Maine West website for instructions on what to bring and NOT to bring to testing. Good luck with your SAT.
