This week we celebrate National Foreign Language Week. To kick things off, here is a fun fact about German:

Did you know you can't name a baby...Apple, Egypt, Rocket, Panda, Chow or Ajax in Germany. Why? The name must not negatively affect the well-being of a child. The German government has a law through which it can and will reject baby names deemed as odd, appalling or strange." I wonder if the name North West would have been accepted?

STUDENTS & STAFF:  We need you to do a little spring cleaning this week through Friday, March 10th.  We are collecting gently used items: clothing, housewares, books, furniture, etc. that your family no longer wants or needs that are in usable condition. Ask your parent/guardian BEFORE you donate any items.  We will be paid by the pound for all items in usable condition by SAVERS through their FUNDrive program. This is an easy way to make a difference without having to donate money.
All donations can be place in the gray bins by the main entrance or bus concourse."
