STUDENTS:  The blood drive registration starts today in the student cafeteria. The 3rd blood drive of the school year is this Friday and we hope to get 200 students and staff to help save lives. Please register and pick up a permission slip at the Lifesource desk in the cafe. Let's go Maine West, we can make a difference to those that need it the most!

STUDENTS: Please join Student Council for our next meeting on April 4th at 7:10 AM in Room A201.

STUDENTS: You can win a free tuxedo rental for this years prom. Tickets are on sale in the bookstore. Winner will be announced April 13.

JUNIORS:  Don't forget to come to the COACH area of the LRC after school today if you want some last minute review for the SAT math test. The test is in 6 days. Plus there will be free snacks.

PING PONG:  Don't forget about Ping Pong Club on Monday from 3:30pm-5:30pm in H106. No experience necessary. Bring a friend or someone to hit around with.

STUDENTS: Capitol Forum is a small group of sophomore students dedicated to changing the world and getting people to recognize the importance of human rights. This year, they will be teaming up with Stand Up for Kids, an organization serving the homeless youth population in Chicago. We will collect essentials that will be distributed from the organization’s center in Lakeview. These items include travel-sized toiletries like soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes, feminine products, and individually-wrapped snack items. These items will make an immediate positive impact on the lives of area kids. Stand Up for Kids runs April 3-13. Bring items to C-215 and contact Ms. Littlefield Lanham for more information.

STUDENTS:  Freshmen, sophomores and seniors will not be in attendance on Wednesday, April 5th.
Juniors will be taking a required SAT test. Please note that Wednesday April 5th is NOT a Late Arrival Day. Juniors need to be in their assigned advisories by 7:45 am. You may find your room number in your schedule or on your student ID. Juniors testing with accommodations will not go to their advisories, they will receive a letter with their room assignment. Testing will conclude approximately at 12:30 pm and buses will depart by 12:40 pm

The April 5th SAT test is required for graduation so do not be absent on April 5th. See our Maine West website for instructions on what to bring and NOT to bring to testing. Good luck with your SAT.

BOYS BASKETBALL: If you plan on playing basketball for Maine West next year, you must attend a mandatory and brief informational meeting on Tuesday, April 4th at 3:45 pm in G102. Plan on participating in open gym afterwards. If you're currently competing in a spring sport, you do not have to attend the meeting.
