AP STUDENTS:  March 3rd is the deadline to pay for your AP tests in the bookstore. All AP students are expected to take the AP test for the class or classes they are currently taking. In addition, this year you have more reasons than ever to take the AP exams.

Your first AP test is only $15.
You will be exempt from the your AP class' final exam by taking the AP test.
Illinois schools will take scores of 3 and higher for credit.

PLEASE.. do not delay. Register and pay for your AP tests by Friday March 3rd in the bookstore.

SENIORS:  All seniors graduating in May 2017 must come to the counselor's office to verify their name as it should appear on their diploma.  It should be the name on your birth certificate.  A roster will be available on a clipboard in the counselor's office.  Please initial next to your name.

SOPHOMORES:  Your class T-Shirt is available for preorder this week in the bookstore. The cost is $15.00 and this year the shirt will be columbia blue and long sleeved. You can only order it until Friday of this week. Get your class shirt and show your support for the class of 2019!

STUDENTS:  Would you like to have lunch with Teddy and 9 of your friends? Buy a raffle ticket for $1 or buy 7 tickets for $5. One winner will be drawn on March 3, and he or she will have a free pizza lunch with 9 friends and hang out with Teddy. Get your tickets in the cafeteria from a member of SALT - the Student Activities Leadership Team.

STUDENT COUNCIL:  Please join us for our next Student Council Meeting on Tuesday morning at 7:10 AM in A201. If you are running for office you must be in attendance and turn in your completed petition. We have a few more things to discuss for the end of the year,


MOVIE CLUB:  Movie Club will meet Friday after school in L101, the little theater. Movie club will be showing "Dr. Strange". Question reality. Change your destiny.


COLLEGE AND CAREER ANNOUNCEMENTS

SENIORS: Applications for our very own Maine West Scholarship Fund and Oakton Scholarships are now available in the CRC and on the Student Services website. If you plan on attending any post-secondary school in the fall after graduation, we encourage you to apply. All applications are due back by March 16th. If you have questions, email Mrs. Rey or Mr. Ebrahimi.


SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

BOYS VOLLEYBALL:  Boys volleyball tryouts start on Monday March 6th. Freshmen tryouts will begin at 3:30 in the Spec gym. Varsity and JV tryouts will begin at 5:30 in Spec gym following the freshmen. You must have a current physical on file and be signed up on 8 to 18. If your physical is not current and you are not signed up, you will not be allowed to participate.
