Let's kick off February with a flannel Friday.  Wear your favorite flannel tomorrow.

STUDENTS: If you missed out on the Flamin Cheetos Popcorn Seasoning, it will be back today. Come give it a try before it sells out. It is a HOT item so get it now. 1 Box for $2.00 or 2 Box for $3.00.  Or get your usual popcorn and seasoning with a Giant Freezepop for $1.00 each.

STUDENTS:  The winter formal is Saturday, February 4.  Tickets are $20 in the bookstore and $25 at the door.  You must present a different ID for each ticket purchased.

JUNIORS:  If you registered for the SAT prep courses at Maine West, the SAT Success prep courses will begin Monday February 13th. The rosters are now posted in the Student Services Department with room assignments.

SENIORS:  If you ordered a senior t-shirt, they have arrived and are ready for pick up in the bookstore.

ANIME CLUB:  Anime Club will in room D105 after school today.  See Mr. Kermend with any questions.

COLLEGE AND CAREER ANNOUNCEMENTS

SENIORS: Applications for our very own Maine West Scholarship Fund and Oakton Scholarships are now available in the CRC and on the Student Services website. If you plan on attending any post-secondary school in the fall after graduation, we encourage you to apply. All applications are due back by March 16th. If you have questions, email Mrs. Rey or Mr. Ebrahimi.

SENIORS:  Today is Financial Aid Day in the CRC. Come meet with the FAFSA expert.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the Warrior Wrestling Team for their success. There are 4 all-conference wrestlers representing Maine West this season. These wrestlers are: Arsalan Afshar, Jayton Hall, Jake Bellizzi, and Sage Shanahan. Congrats on being all-conference and good luck to the entire varsity team competing at the regional tournament this Saturday at Streamwood High School.
If you would like to volunteer for the Special Ed Basketball Tournament on February 18th, volunteer sheets are in C102. We need help with team buddies, concessions, referees and scorekeepers. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Pettyjohn.
