Become part of the challenge and help us make a difference. Our goal is one million pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House charities. Our goal for the district is two million pull tabs, no one has ever reached that goal. There are collection containers around the school, remember to

SOPHOMORE STUDENTS:  If you are interested in applying for the Junior Leader program, the active link to apply is on the Maine West Physical Education webpage. All applications must be submitted by Tuesday, January 31.

FASHION & COSMETOLOGY CLUB:  We will be meeting Thursday after school in room C108. We will be making choker necklaces. Come join us as we make one of this season's hottest accessories. All supplies will be provided.

STUDENTS:  Do you have 6th or 7th period free?  Do you have a half period that's boring?  Get on the air live with WMTH radio.  Stop by R209 to get a radio application and you can DJ your own radio show.  See you on the radio!

STUDENTS:  The winter formal is quickly approaching.  Tickets will cost $20 this week and will cost $25 at the door.  You must present a different ID for each ticket purchased.

COLLEGE AND CAREER ANNOUNCEMENTS

The US Navy will be in the CRC today during 5th and 6th periods.  Also, a reminder that Thursday is Financial Aid Day in the CRC. Come meet with the FAFSA specialist and get your questions answered regarding paying for college. Complete your FAFSA, review your award letters, search for scholarships and more.


SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

If you would like to volunteer for the Special Ed Basketball Tournament on February 18th, volunteer sheets are in C102. We need help with team buddies, concessions, referees and scorekeepers. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Pettyjohn.

There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing BADMINTON today after school in A209. Information about registration, physicals and tryouts will be shared with all who attend. Meeting begins at 3:20 and will last 10 minutes. Contact Mr. Murin if you cannot attend.
