CONGRATULATIONS: The Boys Varsity Tennis team has been busy this cold windy week. The boys recently swept doubles at Maine East posting a 4-3 win. Henry Win and Jason E continued their masterful streak improving their record to 12-1 this season. The guys are home against Taft next Monday. Come on out to the courts and watch some great tennis!

CONGRATULATIONS: The Maine West Warriors hosted Prospect Boys water polo on Thursday, April 28th.  The varsity Warriors won a thrilling game by a sensational save by deep end goalie Sam Ure at the end of the game to preserve a 9 - 8 victory.

STUDENTS: The blood drive is today in A wing gym. Make sure you drink plenty of water and eat a snack before you donate. If you didn't get a chance to sign up but would still like to donate, please bring your school ID to see if there is any space available. Remember all 16 year olds need to bring their permission slip signed by a parent. Also remember you must donate during your free period. Our goal is 120 units of blood. We can do it Maine West. Lets save some lives by joining your peers and faculty in A wing gym today.

STUDENTS: Seniors participating in today's field trip to Oakton for the Placement Test, remember to meet in the Bus Concourse by 8:30 AM today. Bring an ID with you and some materials to work on so you can sit quietly when your testing is complete.

CONGRATULATIONS: The boys Maine West Warrior varsity water polo players traveled to Riverside/Brookfield H.S. to compete in an early season game. The Warriors beat the Bulldogs by a score of 15 - 9.

CONGRATULATIONS: The girls water polo team won 12 to 4 over the Maine South Hawks. Scoring for the warriors were Kristen Burger, Nina Marty, Annie Piochotti and Katie Lane.

CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to Shane Ronan who won the Junior Prom prize in the Dollars for Scholars Raffle. Seniors, you too can enter our raffle to win a Senior Prom package valued at $220 that includes two free tickets. Buy raffle tickets in the bookstore for $1 each or 6 for $5 now through April 15th.

STUDENTS: This year's spring play, "Arabian Nights", opens soon. This innovative approach to storytelling fuses movement, music and poetry to produce a one of a kind audience experience. Performances run April 14 at 4pm and April 15th and 16th at 7pm in the Auditorium. Tickets are sold at the door and cost $5 Students and $7 for Adults.

STUDENTS: Mark your calendar. On Saturday, April 9 from 1-4 pm Maine West is hosting the District 207 International Celebration in the spec gym. Come out and enjoy lots of great food and entertainment and celebrate the many cultures of District 207.

STUDENTS:  If you are interested in becoming a lifeguard, check out the introductory American Red Cross Lifeguard class. The class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 pm in the pool. Successful completion of the course will earn participants a Lifeguard Certification. For more details, enter keyword lifeguard on the MW website.

CONGRATULATIONS:  Your Mock Trial team qualified to compete at the state tournament this past weekend against 39 teams from Illinois. Our Warrior student-lawyers returned from Champaign last night and won in two categories. Matthew Montineleeee was awarded "Outstanding Witness" honors while Catherine Byewcanik was awarded "Outstanding Attorney." Congratulations to the entire team for our best season in almost a decade.

STUDENTS:  The popshop will be open through the end of the school year every Tuesday and Thursday.  We now feature Ramen noodles. Ramen, popcorn and freeze pops are all $1 with most of the proceeds going toward the schoolwide fundraiser.

STUDENTS AND STAFF: The girls softball team is hosting a fundraiser today at the Chipotle on Mannheim Road in Rosemont. All you have to do is bring an official flyer or tell the cashier you're there for the fundraiser and the team gets 50% of the profits!
