STUDENTS:  The annual Turkey Trot is today at 3:30 pm.  Sign up for the race in the bookstore. The cost is $10 for the trot, door prizes and t-shirt.  You can donate $3 or 5 canned goods for the trot and door prizes.  If you have questions, see Mr. Piha or your PE Teacher.

STUDENTS:  Do you like to bowl? Are you any good? If so, pay attention, because this announcement is right up your alley. For the second year in a row, Maine West is looking to send a few individuals to the IHSA State Bowling Competition. If you have an interest in representing Maine West in this state series, come attend an informational meeting on Thursday, November 17th at 3:20 pm in A209. This is open to both boys and girls. If you cannot attend that day, send Mr. Murin an email expressing your interest before the meeting in order to be considered.

STUDENTS:  On Friday, please stop by the Pi Sigma Pi "Letters to Vets" table to write a short letter thanking veterans for their service. We will be in the student cafe all periods on Friday, Veteran's Day.

STUDENTS:  The second IML math contest is on Tuesday, November 15th before school in room A201. Anyone interested in math and challenging problems is encouraged to attend. You can start any time between 6:45 am and 7:10 am and you'll have 30 minutes to work on the problems once you begin. If you have questions about the IML contest ask your math teacher.

STUDENTS: Here is your chance to watch v-show again. Order your very own DVD copy of the V-show, Breaking the News, from WMTH-TV.  Just stop into the bookstore to order your DVD for just $10 today.

ANIME CLUB:  Anime Club will meet today in room D105 after school. We will take a club photo, so please attend if you can. See Mr. Kermend with any questions.

MOCK TRIAL:  Mock Trial Informational meeting will be rescheduled for this Friday briefly after school. See Mr. Rosenberg in the social studies office if you cannot attend and want audition materials for next week.

MOVIE CLUB:  Movie Club will be showing Star Trek Beyond this Friday afterschool in L101.
