CANNED FOOD DRIVE UPDATE:  Ms. Valdez is in the lead but not by much.  Mrs. Savard is right on her heels with Mr. Fleming in a close third.  Wednesday is the last day to bring in a can!

STUDENTS:  An informational meeting for this year’s musical, “Little Shop of Horrors” will be held today from 3:30 to 4 pm in the Choir Room. This hit broadway classic is equal parts sci-fi horror flick and musical comedy all wrapped into one. Don’t miss out on this hillarious production.

STUDENTS:  The annual Turkey Trot is Thursday, November 10 at 3:30 pm.  Sign up for the race in the bookstore.  The cost is $10 for the trot, door prizes and t-shirt.  You can donate $3 or 5 canned goods for the trot and door prizes.  If you have questions, see Mr. Piha or your PE Teacher.

JAZZ BAND:  Auditions for the Maine West Jazz Band are on Tuesday, November 8th.  Come to the band room to pick up an audition packet and sign up for a time.  Looking for saxes, trumpets, trombones, guitar, base, piano and drums. Head to for more information.

Seniors, remember to keep an eye on your deadlines. There are many application deadlines and scholarship deadlines for colleges in November in December. It's best to complete your applications prior to Thanksgiving.

Also, all eligible seniors are encouraged to apply for financial aid. This can be the critical component that makes college possible. Be sure to submit your FAFSA as soon as possible. Come to the CRC on Thursdays if you need assistance or have questions.
