STAFF AND STUDENTS:  The holidays are coming up. You know what that means - too much turkey, too many cookies and way to much laying around watching sports on TV.  This year, go against the trend.  Join the Winter Warrior Running Club. Get out in the fresh, cool air and GET FIT.  We meet every Monday through Thursday right after school in the spectator gym foyer.  All runners will receive free hot cocoa after their run.

STUDENTS:  Maine West is looking to send a few individuals to the IHSA State Bowling Competition. If you have an interest in representing Maine West in this state series, come attend an informational meeting on Thursday, November 17th at 3:20 pm in A209. This is open to both boys and girls. If you cannot attend that day, send Mr. Murin an email expressing your interest before the meeting in order to be considered.

STUDENTS:  The second IML math contest is on Tuesday, November 15th before school in room A201. Anyone interested in math and challenging problems is encouraged to attend. You can start any time between 6:45 am and 7:10 am and you'll have 30 minutes to work on the problems once you begin. If you have questions about the IML contest ask your math teacher.

STUDENTS: Order your very own DVD copy of the V-show, Breaking the News, from WMTH-TV.  Just stop into the bookstore to order your DVD for just $10 today.

JUNIORS:  Our Class of  2018 toy drive competition is now under way. We are collecting toys for sick children and their families for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Your gift will give comfort to a sick child far from home. Giving toys to these children is a great gift.  Thank you for making a difference.

FRESHMEN:  Come to the wrestling room after school this week to learn workout techniques or get in shape. All new wrestlers are welcome.

ASIAN CLUB:  Are you fascinated by Asian culture? In Asian club, we enjoy everything to do with Asia. We play Asian games and make origami and crafts. We like to watch movies, anime and Korean dramas. We listen to k-pop as much as we want. We enjoy eating and learning how to make all kinds of Asian cuisine. So come on down to Asian club and don’t miss out on all the fun.  Asian club meets every Wednesday after school in C217.
