STUDENTS:  Please join Student Council after school on Thursday to help clean up the outdoor eating area near the pool. We welcome all student council members and any other student looking for service hours. Please see Mrs. Archer, Ms. Lloyd, or one of Student Council officers if you need additional information.

FRESHMEN:  Come get involved in your school and class. Freshman class council meets Tuesday, September 13 at 7:10 am in room D113.

JUNIORS:  Junior class council will meet Tuesday morning at 7:10 am in A114. If you want to have a job that makes a difference in this world, we will see you there.

SOPHOMORES AND JUNORS:  Now is your chance!  If you have a parking tag you can reserve and paint your own parking spot. The cost is $25. Applications and more information is available in the bookstore or the main office. Leave your mark on Maine West's Parking Lot.

AFRICAN-AMERICAN CLUB: The Dream Team African-American Club will be meeting today at 3:20 pm in R201 across from the Auditorium. Be ready to do fun activities and get this club off the ground. We need to make our presence known for this year's Wild West Homecoming. Questions come see Ms. Adams or Ms. Pantke in the counseling office.

MIDDLE EASTERN CLUB: Our next meeting is on Tuesday, September 13 after school in the Family Center. We have a special guest and need to talk about Homecoming.
FRENCH CLUB:  French Club will have its first meeting Tuesday, September 13 after school in A212. You do not have to be enrolled in French to participate.  All students interested in French speaking culture, movies, food and more are welcome.  Please contact Ms. Cobb with questions.

ART CLUB:  Calling all Artists. It's time to get together and form this year's art club. Just come to E107 after school on Thursday for a short meeting to sign up and discuss future plans. If you have any questions see Mr. Cammarata

POLISH CLUB:  We will be meeting this Wednesday after school outside the cafeteria to sketch and start painting our Homecoming Window. The more the merrier. Come with ideas.


STUDENTS:  College Night is coming up this Wednesday. This event is for all grades and all students. It will be held at Maine West from 6:30-8:30 pm. Talk to your parents about attending. There will be approximately 185 colleges represented. Plus, there will be financial aid sessions in English and Spanish. There will also be a special financial aid session for seniors and their parents. Check the CRC website and your email for a list of registered colleges and universities.


GIRLS BASKETBALL:  Girls basketball will hold open gym on Tuesday, September 13 in B-Wing gym from 3:30-5:30 pm.  If you are not in a fall sport, you are encouraged to attend.
