STUDENTS:  This Friday is Gold Rush.  We want every student and every staff member wearing Warrior Gold. Let's fill the Halls. Fill the stands with gold. We are going to make Friday night lights golden.

PHILOSOPHY CLUB: Do you find yourself sitting around asking questions like, "What is the meaning of life?" or "What is the best way to live?"  If you are the curious type and enjoy exploring answers to these and other meaningful questions, philosophy club is the place for you. Our first meeting is Tuesday, August 30th in room C212 right after school. New members are welcome.

VOICE FOR THE NAMELESS:  Do you want to learn the real stories of those refugees who risk their lives, forced to leave their homes and countries to escape bloody civil wars and persecution for their race, ethnicity, political views and religion and flee to countries and cultures completely foreign to theirs? Join Voice for the Nameless THIS MONDAY, AUGUST 29 in L101 at 6:30 pm as we screen the movie "God Grew Tired of Us", the true story of a group of young Sudanese men who finally arrived in the U.S. to begin their new lives. Come and be inspired and find hope in their struggles.

VIDEO GAME CLUB: Maine West's Video Game Club is meeting Wednesday, August 31 from 3:30-4:30 pm in the LRC. 

KEY CLUB:  Key Club is meeting  on September 2 at 7:00 am in room L101. All are welcome. 

CLASS OF 2018: Join our class council meeting on Tuesday, August 30 at 7:10 am in room A114. There will be donuts.

WEST WORDS: Are you interested in reading and writing poetry or short stories? Are you an artist or photographer that would like to be published? If so, please come to the first meeting of West Words - Maine West's Literary Magazine. Please join us in C208 on Wednesday, August 31st from 3:30-4:30 pm.

MATH TEAM: The math team will have it's pre-season pizza party on Tuesday, August 30th right after school in the faculty cafeteria, room R105. All returning mathletes and anyone that wants to join the math team should attend this party. If you have any questions about math team ask your math teacher or a math team coach.

SENIOR GIRLS: Any senior girl who is interested in designing this year's powderpuff shirt please contact Mr. Butterfield.
