VOICE FOR THE NAMELESS: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, just to name a few of the platforms of social media. The world of communication has been revolutionized by social media and that impact has also been felt in human rights work. Social media can mobilize large numbers of people in a short amount of time to rise up and take action for a cause. It has been the focus of government action in some countries to shut it down. Come and learn more about the use and impact of social media on human rights this Thursday at the Voice for the Nameless meeting at 7:00 am in H106. Food is provided.
