Keep EARNING and dropping your Warrior Bucks in the drop box located at the top of the main entrance staircase. The third drawing has been extended by one week. This drawing is for a 32" 1080 HD Flat Panel Visio TV donated by Warrior Pride.The drawing will be live at the assembly on Thursday, March 24th.

We will have one more drawing 4th quarter and a second chance drawing at the end of the year when all Warrior Bucks that have been put in the drop box throughout the year will have a second chance at earning a prize


STUDENTS:  Capitol Forum is a small group of sophomore students dedicated to changing the world and getting people to recognize the importance of human rights. This year, they will be teaming up with Infant Inc. and The Well of Mercy to donate new and used baby clothing and other essentials to 50 locations around Chicago. These items include onesies, sleepers, hats, socks (0-12 months), receiving blankets and new bottles. These items would strongly benefit many families in need with small children. Team Up for Tots runs March 14-24. Bring items to C215 and contact Ms. Littlefield Lanham for more information.
JUNIORS:    Enter the Dollars for Scholars Raffle for a chance to win our Junior Prom Prize #14 valued at $200 that includes two tickets, a dinner certificate, a manicure, flowers and even a car wash! Tickets are available in the bookstore for only $1.00 each or 6 for $5. A winner will be drawn on April 6th.

AP STUDENTS: Registration to take your AP tests is underway and the deadline is fast approaching. The deadline to sign up to take your AP tests is on Friday, March 18th. Please go to the bookstore to pay and collect the AP information booklet. Please remember that any registrations after the deadline will include a late fee of $45 per test.

STUDENTS: If you are looking for a summer job, the district is accepting applications for new and returning summer tutors. These are part-time paid positions working with kids. Great for future teachers, tutors, pediatricians, social workers, psychologists, ministers, coaches, or even those who like to work in parks and recreation. Go to the Maine West webpage for more information and to apply. Applications are taken until March 29th.

STUDENTS: The sixth and final IML math contest is on Tuesday, March 15 in room A201. Anyone interested in math and challenging problems is encouraged to attend. You can start any time between 6:45 AM and 7:10 AM. You will have 30 minutes to work on the problems once you begin. If you have questions about the IML contest ask your math teacher.

SENIORS: If you are going to GradNite, it is time to pay for the rest of the trip. Only $25 more left to pay before you can ride coasters with your best friends. You must pay by March 15th and also turn in your signed field trip form in the bookstore.

SPANISH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: There will be a MANDATORY meeting after school at 3:20 on Thursday, March 17 in L101 to go over the Induction Ceremony that will then take place on Wednesday, March 24 at 7pm in L101. You will also be receiving important information regarding the ceremony. The meeting should only take about 20-30 minutes. Please be sure to see Sra. Barbas if you have any conflicts.

Juniors, are you starting your college search? Learn about colleges by hearing from the college representatives. They are the experts! Students are welcome to come to any and all periods. However, if you have a class, you must first get signed permission from your teacher. Pick up a college panel pass from the CRC. Check your email and also the passes for the full schedule of college participants.
