STUDENTS: For almost 60 years, the Westerner student newspaper has been the voice of students at Maine West. Covering everything from Maine West events to student talents to national and global issues. The award-winning Westerner keeps students informed about their world, whether it is the orchesis show or the spring play, the basketball team or the math team, the presidential election or climate change, the dominance of Netflix or the reality of the gender gap. If you would like to help lead the school and be a part of next year's Westerner staff, applications are due March 14 for writers, photographers, artists and editors. You can get an application in the Westerner office -- A200 -- or online attinyurl.com/WesternerApp.
